Remembrance Day

On Monday we all gathered together to remember those who lost their lives in the War and anyone affected by war. We created our prayer table to reflect the poppies which are a symbol of remembrance after World War 1.

Lalana: I thought about all of the soldiers who dies during the war.

Millie: I was thinking about how sad all the families and friend would have been feeling.

Katherine: We all had 2 minutes silence and shared our prayers with God.

Niamh: I thought about the colours on the poppy and what this symbolised.

Our Year 1 / 2 children also visited the memorial statue in Measham and laid their own poppy wreaths and said prayers together.
